This smartwatch runs HarmonyOS and is affected by CVE-2023-22779, a vulnerability in the LiteOS component of some Huawei devices (CVSS 6.5, Medium) that can lead to information leakage. In addition, research has shown that Huawei wearable devices may not properly validate Bluetooth pairing requests, which allows a nearby attacker to intercept data such as step counts and heart rate. The watch stores health data and connects to the phone by Bluetooth, so a compromise can expose personal health information. Huawei provides regular firmware updates, which reduces the risk.
