The Dahua IPC-HDBW2431E-S-S2 is a 4MP fixed dome network camera from Dahua's entry-level Lite series. Its only model-level publicly documented weakness is CVE-2022-30563 (CVSS 7.4), an ONVIF login replay flaw: an attacker who can observe one successful ONVIF authentication can replay those packets and log in without the password. NVD lists ipc-hdbw2431e-s-s2 explicitly among the affected models, so the exposure is confirmed at model level rather than inferred from a product family. The impact is bounded by the requirement for a man-in-the-middle position, which is why the vulnerability criteria are scored Rare rather than Very common. Dahua operates a PSIRT and ships patched firmware, but updates are manual, so unpatched units persist in the field. The device is rated D: a real authentication bypass is documented for this exact model, and the remaining user-authentication controls do not compensate for it, but exploitation requires network positioning and no mass-exploitation campaign against this model was found. Values for hardware tampering, prior attacks, storage encryption, account management, brute-force protection, event logging and password policy are provisional because no model-level Dahua documentation could be retrieved; the rating rests on the CVE-2022-30563 evidence.
