The Apple HomeView (launched Oct 2026) is an A18-powered smart display with a security posture tightly integrated into the Apple ecosystem. It lacks dedicated physical anti-tamper hardware, relying instead on the A18 chip's Secure Exclaves to isolate camera and microphone data so that even the OS cannot access it. User authentication uses a dual-verification model—facial recognition combined with a nearby, recently unlocked paired iPhone/iPad—compensating for the absence of Face ID infrared sensors. Data in transit and processing is protected by HomeKit Secure Video's end-to-end encryption and Private Cloud Compute. As a brand-new device, it currently has no public CVEs or prior attack records, establishing a robust modern security baseline through strict hardware-level isolation and Apple ID account management.
